Ron's inscription in a book he gave to Sammy

Gill read the following:

This is the last present that my Dad gave to Sammy.  Bought in a car boot, it’s about a Fire Captain who was trapped in the collapse of the Twin Towers but survived. 

Sammy was overjoyed by it and asked him to write something inside and, without hesitation, this is what he wrote:

"To Sammy 

I saw this and thought of us in the Restaurant, on the Observation Deck and in the Marriott. 

I thought of us watching the news as the planes hit and the towers fell. 

I thought of us at Ground Zero and the Midnight Mass. 

I thought of us. 

All my love as always
