Decision-making in the Planning Committee

This session deals with the planning system as it affects individual authorities and the key aspects that must be taken into account when making planning decisions.  The emphasis is on developing a structured approach to decision-making that reflects the 'plan-led' system that exists and the new requirement to justify all decisions and give good reasons for refusals especially when appeals can result in awards of costs.
